We Are Here To Help

The mission of Turn Around Columbus (TAC) is to empower youth with hope, opportunities, and the tools to succeed. To achieve this mission, we create community-based education opportunities to empower youth with a positive self-concept, responsibility, experience, confidence, and the skills necessary to make a difference in the workplace and community.

TAC’s Initiatives:

  • George Washington Carver Victory Garden and Farm
  • Hope Dealer Entrepreneurs
  • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Outdoor Learning Trail
  • Restorative Justice Training & Demonstration
  • Taking Back Our Neighborhoods – Wrice Process Drugfighting Training

You deserve a
better community.

Our goal is to rebuild our community by investing
in our youth by creating meaningful work-based
learning opportunities and community resources
that serve to foster economic self sufficiency, uplift, educate, and create lifetime skills for the next
generation of entrepreneurs, farmers, and

Reclaiming Our Community

We have a strong history of positive change and have contributed to community transformation through various successful projects. Turn Around Columbus’s projects prioritize:

  • High need communities and areas
  • Inclusive programs that do not exclude at-risk youth, or other marginalized communities
  • Holistic education based programs that build lifetime skills and create youth employment opportunities
  • Projects that simultaneously create sustainable community educational resources and lasting community pride

TAC has been valuable to me because I’ve been learning so many new things about plants and black history. What I’ve learned with being in TAC is that it takes a lot of effort and commitment to raise a garden. What’s exciting for me in the future is knowing that I’ll be a part of it and how many people we’ll be helping in the future.
