“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.“ – Fredrick Douglas
Invest in our youth, in our neighborhoods, and their futures.
The East Columbus community where we work is one of the poorest in Columbus, where families have low access to healthy food and youth are in need of opportunities that contribute to their development, build pride, hope, and responsibility. It is also a community of incredible untapped potential that together with TAC’s process, mission driven focus and investment can flourish. Investing in the success of our youth and their families, especially those at such disproportionate disadvantage is critical to ensuring the future resilience, safety and vitality of our community and creating peace.
A gift $25 supports an elementary student for a month of Saturday programs at the garden where they will read stories, make art, and learn science and math skills from learning how to grow their own food and contributing to their communities.
A gift of $100 supports a Hope Dealer entrepreneur for a month in managing our 2 acre victory garden and farm and in learning entrepreneurial skills and how to run a small agricultural business and service of our community.
A gift of $600 supports the community garden bed for underserved families to receive free produce all year.
A gift of $1000 or more supports the development of our learning center, community kitchen, community garden beds, orchard, walking paths, children’s garden, and the expansion of our food production areas.
